DIY Spiritual “He is Risen” Door/Wall Hanger: With The Bickhams

Introduction:

Welcome back, craft enthusiasts! Today, we have an exciting project for you that beautifully captures the essence of spirituality and Easter celebrations. Join us as we walk you through the process of creating a stunning “He is Risen” door/wall hanger using a wooden beaded ball wreath form, an 8-inch round metal sign, a vibrant purple 60919 paper flower spray, and a few essential tools. Get ready to infuse your space with a touch of elegance and spirituality!

Materials Needed:

  • Wooden beaded ball wreath form
  • 8-inch round metal “He is Risen” sign
  • Purple 60919 paper flower spray
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Zip ties (6 to 8 inches)
  • 1.5mm jewelry punch
  • Small hay string
  • Pro Bow the Hand 4-in-1 bow maker (or your preferred bow maker)
  • Scissors

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Wreath Form

  • Lay out your wooden beaded ball wreath form on a clean, flat surface.
  • Using the hot glue gun, apply a small amount of glue between the wooden beads to secure them together. This will prevent the balls from spinning and ensure a sturdy wreath base.

Step 2: Prepare and Attach the Flower Sprays

  • Gently fluff out the purple 60919 paper flower spray to give it a natural and full appearance.
  • Bend each flower spray to follow the circular shape of the wreath form, making sure it fits snugly.
  • Attach one spray to the top of the wreath form using zip ties. Position the zip tie in a way that the trimmed end faces upward to avoid scratching doors.
  • Repeat the process with the second 60919 spray, attaching it to the opposite side of the wreath form, leaving enough space between the two sprays for the bow.

Step 3: Create the Bow

  • Using the Pro Bow the Hand 4-in-1 bow maker (or your preferred bow maker), create a “Blast Off” style bow with three different ribbons.
  • For each ribbon, make three loops on one side, two loops on the next, and one loop on the last side. Gradually decrease the loop size as you move from one ribbon to the next.
  • Trim the ribbon tails so that each color is 1/2″ shorter than the previous one, and do the same for the loops.
  • Secure the bow together with a 6 to 8 inch zip tie, leaving a bit of space to slide a chenille stem (pipe cleaner) under the tie.

Step 4: Attach the Bow and Sign

  • Position the bow in the open space between the two flower sprays. Attach it securely to the wreath form using a zip tie. Use hot glue if necessary to ensure the bow faces forward.
  • Use the jewelry punch to create a hole near the top center of the “He is Risen” sign.
  • Thread a piece of hay string through the hole and tie it around two wooden beads on the wreath form to hang the sign.

Step 5: Final Touches and Admiration

  • Hang your completed “He is Risen” door/wall hanger in your desired area.
  • Take a moment to adjust any elements as needed to achieve the perfect arrangement.
  • Step back and admire your masterpiece! This unique creation will surely bring joy and spiritual significance to your space.
