Easy DIY Ribbon Bows: No Glue Required for Beginners

You won’t need any glue for this one! These bows are perfect for adding a touch of charm to any season, and they’re a breeze to make.

Materials You’ll Need:

• 4-inch wide ribbon (cut to your preferred length)
• 2.5-inch wide ribbon (cut to your preferred length)
• Scissors
• Small zip tie
• Twine

Creating Your Glue-Free Bows:

• Prepare the 4-Inch Ribbon: Take your 4-inch wide ribbon and fold it in half, overlapping about 1.5 inches. The overlap should be on the underside of the ribbon. Set this aside for now.
• Create the Centerpiece: Grab one of your 2.5-inch ribbons and lay it upside down on your work surface. Take one end and fold it back toward the middle point, angling the tail at around 30 to 45 degrees. Do the same with the opposite end, crossing the tails to create a folded shape that resembles a collared shirt.
• Secure with a Zip Tie: Now, accordion or scrunch both 2.5-inch ribbons together down the center, creating a pleated effect. Secure the center of this pleated ribbon with a small zip tie.
• Attach the Bow to the 4-Inch Ribbon: Lay the pleated 2.5-inch ribbon right side up on top of your 4-inch ribbon, positioning it in the center. Scrunch the 4-inch ribbon towards the middle to gather it around the pleated ribbon. Secure both ribbons together by wrapping twine around the center, concealing the zip tie in the process.
• Fluff It Up: Once everything is secured, take a moment to fluff out your bow. Adjust the lengths of the ribbon to achieve the desired size and shape for your bow.
