Preparing the Chicken Thighs

  1. Season the Chicken Thighs:

Marinating the Flank Steak

  1. Marinate the Flank Steak:
    • Place the flank steak in a resealable bag and add the fajita marinade. Seal the bag and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours, or overnight for the best flavor.

Preparing the BBQ Baked Beans

Cooking on the Z Grills Mod. 700D3

  1. Preheat the Grill:

Cooking the Chicken Thighs

  1. Smoke the Chicken Thighs:
    • Place the chicken thighs on the grill. Set an alarm to start checking the internal temperature at around 1 hour. Cook until the internal temperature reaches 170°F, using the ThermoPro Digital Meat Thermometer.

Cooking the Flank Steak

  1. Smoke the Flank Steak:
    • Place the marinated flank steak on the grill. Set an alarm to start checking the internal temperature at around 45 minutes. Cook until the internal temperature reaches 135°F to 140°F for medium doneness.

Cooking the BBQ Baked Beans and Corn

  1. Cook the Baked Beans and Corn:
    • Place the baking dish with the beans and the corn on the grill. The beans will take about 1.5 hours to get bubbly, turn up the heat to 375 degrees F for the bacon to crisp up, while the corn will be done in about 30 minutes to an hour.

Finishing Touches

  1. Increase the Temperature:
    • After the meats and sides have cooked at 275°F, increase the grill temperature to 375°F to caramelize the BBQ sauce on the chicken thighs and brown the bacon on the beans.
  2. Add BBQ Sauce:
    • Brush the chicken thighs with BBQ sauce and let them cook for another 10-15 minutes until the sauce is caramelized.

Serving

  1. Serve the BBQ Feast:
    • Once everything is cooked to perfection, remove the items from the grill. Let the flank steak rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.
    • Serve the juicy chicken thighs, flavorful flank steak, smoky baked beans, and sweet corn on the cob to your family and friends. Enjoy!

Tips for the Best BBQ Dinner

Use Quality Ingredients

For the best results, use high-quality meats and fresh ingredients. The better the ingredients, the more delicious your BBQ dinner will be.

Don’t Rush the Cooking Process

Take your time and let the grill do its job. Cooking low and slow at 275°F allows the flavors to develop and ensures everything is cooked evenly.

Monitor Temperatures

Using a digital meat thermometer, like the ThermoPro, helps you achieve the perfect doneness for each type of meat. Set alarms for each item to remind you when to start checking the internal temperatures.
