Let’s Make an Easy Christmas Bow with the 4 in 1 Pro Bow Maker!

Introduction

Hello, dear bow-making enthusiasts! We’re Craig and Melissa Bickham, your hosts from With the Bickhams and Small Town Wreath Shop. Today, we’re thrilled to share a delightful Christmas bow-making tutorial with you. Whether you’re crafting for holiday décor or looking to add a special touch to gifts, this easy bow with the 4 in 1 Pro Bow Maker is perfect for any Christmas project. Plus, it’s a skill that can bring joy, relaxation, and even a little extra income during the holiday season. So, let’s dive right in and create a beautiful Christmas bow together!

Materials You’ll Need

Before we begin, gather your materials:

  • 1 roll of green sheer 2 1/2 inch wired ribbon
  • 1 roll of 2 1/2 inch wired ribbon in a Christmas color pattern
  • 1 roll of 1 1/2 inch red sheer wired ribbon

Steps to Create Your Christmas Bow

Let’s break down the process into easy-to-follow steps:

Step 1: Start with the Green 2 1/2 inch ribbon. Cut a dovetail on the ribbon’s end (check out our video tutorial for a visual guide). Lay it down to the 8-inch mark on the right side of the bow maker, ensuring it’s placed between the wooden pegs.

Step 2: Twist the ribbon with the underside facing up on the left side to form your first loop. Make sure the end of the loop is at 5 1/2 inches. Fold it back towards the right and lay the ribbon standing up between the pegs again. Now, make another twist with the underside facing up on the right side to create the last loop at the 5 1/2 inch mark. Bring the ribbon back through the pegs. This time, accordion the ribbon onto itself between the pegs. Cut the ribbon off at the 8-inch mark, and don’t forget to cut your dovetail.

Step 3: Congratulations, you’ve completed the bottom layer of your bow! Now, repeat these steps for the 2 1/2 inch Christmas-patterned ribbon and the 1 1/2 inch red sheer ribbon. Be sure to follow our video tutorial below for a detailed demonstration.

Step 4: Once you have all three layers of the bow, keep the stack straight and use a 6 or 8-inch zip tie to secure the ribbons together where you made your twists between the wooden pegs. Don’t tighten the zip tie all the way yet, leave enough room to slide a chenille stem or pipe cleaner through the loop of the zip tie on the bottom side of the bow.

Step 5: Begin fluffing your bow. Watch Craig in our With the Bickhams Tutorial on YouTube for detailed instructions on how to achieve that perfect, fluffy look. Once you’re satisfied with the fluffiness, tighten the zip tie and trim off the excess.
